Join us for the 2019 MSHA Fall Convention - "Big Sky Connections"

Greetings,

We would like to invite you to join us for the 2019 MSHA Fall Convention - "Big Sky Connections" this coming October 17–18, 2019  at the Big Horn Resort in Billings, Montana. Sponsored by the Montana Speech-Language-Hearing Association (MSHA), this premier convention on speech-language pathology and audiology provides the attendee with professional development opportunities, networking with other professionals and the latest in clinical research and advocacy.


Presenters will include: Michelle Hughes, Ph.D., CCC-A, Associate Professor and director of the Cochlear Implant Research Lab (CIRL) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Scott Palasik, Ph.D, CCC-SLP, Assistant Professor at the University of Akron & director of the Mindfulness ACT Social Cognition and Stuttering Lab (MASS Lab), and returning for a second year in a row, renowned speaker - Sucheta Kamath, MS, CCC-SLP BC-NCD, Founder & CEO of Cerebral Matters, LLC.


Registration opens July 15th.  Please visit the MSHA Website for more information on how to register. ASHA CEUs (Intermediate level, Professional area) pending.


Lodging: A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Big Horn Resort in Billings, MT. Reservations must be made directly by the registrant. This may be done by calling (406) 839-9300. Registrants are eligible for special group rates which begin at $94 a night plus tax. Rooms at this rate will be held until the release date of Monday, September 16, 2019. *When calling, please refer to the “MSHA Convention” to receive the discounted rate.


Call for Student and Professional Posters: The Call for Student and Professional Posters at the MSHA Convention is NOW open!!  You have great ideas - share them!  The application deadline for MSHA posters is September 27th.  We welcome evidence-based presentations on professional issues, assessment/treatment models, literature reviews, and original research.  Want to submit?  Simply click on the Poster Application Link, provide your contact information, and an abstract (up to 400 words).  In the abstract, tell us about the purpose of the poster, the significance of your work, the methodology, and any conclusions or expected conclusions.  The poster session will be on Thursday afternoon, October 17th. We are excited to see your submissions!
