Update on MSHA Assistant Bill

HB 270 to provide licensing standards for speech and audiology assistants, was recently tabled in committee where it eventually died per MSHA's decision not to get it off the table. The bill will be delayed until the 2021 session, after the ASHA certification examination will be available in 2020.

 MSHA plans to work more with the licensing board and the University of Montana between now and the next session with the intent of resurecting the bill in 2021!
